Clifford Ellis Prince

Clifford E. Prince, of Stratton, NE, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Community Hospital in McCook, NE.

Clifford was born on October 31, 1929, to parents Ernest and Freda (Banish) Prince in Grand Island, NE. Clifford was one of five boys.

In his professional career, Clifford worked for the State of NE Highway Department, and at a plywood lumber mill in Lebanon, OR.

On Christmas Eve, December 24, 1983, Clifford Prince married Ina in Lebanon, OR. The couple returned to Stratton where they made their home.

Clifford and Ina were members of the First Christian Church in Lebanon and the United Methodist Church in Stratton. Clifford was a member of Moose Lodge in Scottsbluff and Lebanon, Elks Club in Lebanon, and Eagles Club. He volunteered at the Stratton Senior Citizens Center. He loved watching sports, especially baseball. He also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ina; 3 brothers, Wendall, Chuck, and Bill; and one granddaughter, Casie Milan.

Those left to celebrate his life are four daughters, Linda Green of Gering, NE, Janet Smallman, Kathy (Joe) Smallman, and Susan Anderson all of Lebanon, OR; two stepdaughters Barbara Jean Schlinder and Patricia (Ronn) Passmore all of Lebanon, OR; brother, Richard (Carol) Prince of Scottsbluff, NE; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested in Clifford's name to the donor's choice.
