Franka Elwood Obituary

Franka Lynn Elwood

October 21, 1942 - May 3, 2025

Franka Lynn Elwood (Gustafson), from Tangent, Oregon went to Heaven on May 3, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born in El Reno, Oklahoma on Oct. 21, 1942. The oldest child of Franklin & Margaret Gustafson.

She married Francis Bolman in Virginia. Her daughter Lana was born in 1958. Her son Brian was born in 1963.

Before settling in Oregon in 1965, she ironed shirts in Oklahoma for a penny apiece to help support her family.

On Dec. 6, 1974, she married Robert (Bob) Elwood and they began their happily ever after. She spent her life as a home maker, volunteering at her children's schools, keeping a beautiful home, flower beds and a plentiful vegetable garden on their small farm in Lebanon, OR. In 1986 they built their dream home in Lacomb, OR. There she proudly spent her days tending to grandchildren, a long list of farm animals, and her spoiled calico cat, Kelly.

After her beloved Bob passed in 2000, she moved to Tangent, OR to be closer to her family which she treasured. Her greatest joy could always found in the laughter, smiles, hugs and the time spent with people she loved. And of course a good country music concert.

She will never be far from our hearts. Her love will always be felt in the Spring rain, beautiful flowers, the sight of a butterfly peacefully gliding through the breeze and the sweet smell of lilacs drifting through the Summer air. Wherever our peace is found in this world, she will always be there.

Franka was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and the love of her life, Robert Elwood. As well as brothers Danny Gustafson & John Branson.

She is survived by her daughter Lana (Jeanie) Rimer (Ron) of Albany & son Brian Bolman (Debbie) of Harrisburg. Grandchildren Sara Beasley, Clinton Burgess, Laura Bolman and Amanda Ibarra. Great grandchildren Katie, Ellen, Dominic, Dexter & Amira Beasley. Colt & Emily Burgess. Andrew & Alexander Freeman & Emma Ibarra. Great-great grandchildren Orion & Max Miller and Violet Woods. Brother Cameron Blagg II, sisters Tammi Lynch, Janie Ramsby, Mariann LeeMaster and a long list of beloved nieces, nephews and their children.

Mama,
Thank you for all the love you´ve always shown me. You were always there through the good times and the bad. I referred to you not only as my mom, but also my best friend, my confidant & my shot gun rider.
You were always there for me. I love you and miss you terribly. But now you´re with the Lord and in no pain.
I love you. I always have and I always will.
Love, Jeanie
