Linda Sue Hughes, age 73, of Sabina, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and cats in the early afternoon of Sept. 23, 2025.
She spent several years at Hood Packaging with co-workers and managers who she remembered fondly. but her real passions were harness racing with her family, cutting a rug ("dancing" for you youngins), floral arrangements, and cooking for the horsemen.
Linda is survived by 2 children- Michelle (Tim) Caldwell, of Leesburg, OH and Roger "Peewee" (Lana) Hughes, of Jamestown; 2 grandchildren- McKenzie (Christopher) Schneider and Trevor (Fiancee Janessa) Caldwell; sisters- Sandra Helterbran and Peggy Ann Faul, both of Jamestown; sisters-in-law-Sheila Rudduck & Linda Rudduck; many nieces & nephews , including her favorite nephew- "Pete" and 2 cats- White Ears & Blacky.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband- Roger Hughes, parents- Helen Margurite & Charles "Bud" Clifford Rudduck; sister- Patricia "Pat" Roberts; brothers- Charles "Buck" Rudduck & Franklin "Butch" Rudduck; brother-in-law- Mike Faul; nephews- Tony Summers, Mark & Allen Roberts and niece- Casey Rudduck.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Peggy Ann's Home on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025 from 2-5 p.m. at 6345 Old US Rte 35 East, Jamestown, Ohio 45335.
Interment in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville, Ohio will be at the family's convenience. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
