Michael F. Johnson

Michael F. Johnson of Keewatin, age 77, passed away April 5, 2025 at Heritage Manor in Chisholm.

Mike was born in St. Paul to Lois (Johnson) Polzin and raisd by his grandparents Fred and Charlotte Johnson in Trout Lake Township. He graduated from Greenway in 1965 and attended 1 year vo-tech. Mike joined the army in 1967, becoming a soldier of the Old Guard in Washington D.C. He stood tall for the burial of RFK and the inauguration of Presidont Nixon.

Mike was a jack-of-all-trades and an exceptional tractor operator for Butler Tac & Nat'l Steel, retiring in 2000.

Mike enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, traveling, reading, and being with family, friends, and the love of his life, Lynn. He was a member of the Keewatin American Legion Post 452.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and brother-in-law Ed Huntington.

He is survived by his loving partner Lynn Tronnes, his children Jill (Bill) Wilde, Heather (Brian) Johnson and Michael Johnson, grandchildren Alex, Sophia, Lily, Rorey, Lacey, Danica & Samantha, sisters Toni (Larry) Wirta, Cindy Huntington, Lisa Stenson and brother Dan Polzin, nephews, cousins, friends, and Lynn's family.

A Celebration of Life with military honors at 1 p.m. will be held at the Lawron Hall, Larence Lake Twsp. on Friday, April 25 from 1-4 p.m.

I will always remember how close we were when we were younger. All the good times (some hard work) on Grandpa and Grandma´s farm. I being your best man in your wedding and you in mine. May you rest in peace cousin Mike!
