Robert V. Mohrman
1942-2025
Robert "Bob" Virgil Mohrman of Deer River, formerly Waconia, was called out of this life on April 25, 2025 at the age of 82.
Funeral Service Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home (141 E 1st St) in Waconia with Rev. David Horman as officiant. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Robert was born in St. Charles Illinois on June 18, 1942 to Virgil and Regina Mohrman. He was brought to the Lord in Holy Baptism at the Methodist Church in Cologne MN on March 28, 1948 and was confirmed on June 6, 1954 by Rev. H. A. Ofstie.
Bob graduated from Central High School in 1960. After completing his education, he entered the U.S. Marines and was Honorably Discharged on August 22, 1967. He was a true Marine.
Bob worked for Culligan Soft Water in Minnetonka for 26 years until 1992 when he and his wife Ruth purchased a resort, Cut Foot Sioux Inn, in Deer River, MN in. They sold in 2017. They loved the resort and enjoyed the special guests and all the memories.
Robert is survived by his loving family: children Jeffrey (Christy) Mohrman, Natalie (Sean) Desvousges, Kristen (Matt) Lind; special grandchildren Abigail Drown, James (Maggie) Lind, Madelyn (Travis) Rotzien, Jessica (Jordan) Humphries, Jonathan Mohrman, Madeline (Clayton) Madsen, Natalee Desvousges (Dominic Hamann); great-grandchildren Harvey Lind, Alannah Hamann; sister-in-law Phyllis Schneewind; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Mohrman; parents Virgil Mohrman (who was killed November 1, 1944, while serving in the Army), Regina (Lueck) Sauter and stepfather Elmer Sauter; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Leroy (Dorlene) Schneewind, Donald Schneewind.
Serving as Casket Bearers are Robert's grandchildren, Jonathan Mohrman, James Lind, Madelyn Rotzien, Travis, Rotzien, Abigail Drown, and Jessica Humphries.
