James "Doug" Douglas Hill, age 83, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on July 25, 2025, at Edgewood Health and Rehab in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on Oct. 16, 1941, in Batesville, Arkansas, to A.D. Hill and Emma J. Felts Hill.
Doug graduated from Batesville High School and attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, where he earned his bachelor's degree in business. He married Patricia Tune on Dec. 20, 1987, in Batesville.
Doug and Patricia owned Bridal and Formal Center in Batesville. They loved to travel and after retirement took many trips, including Israel, which was his favorite. Doug was a devoted Christian, who loved the Lord and loved his family. He was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed hunting and playing golf and tennis. Later in life, Doug loved to fish daily with his grandson, Nate.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Amber Lynne Hill. Doug is survived by his wife, Patricia Hill; sons, Chris Hill and Greg Hill and wife Angie; granddaughter, Lyndsey Carter; stepdaughters, Michelle Wadley and Mistie Bien; grandson, Nate Wadley; sister, Pat Watson, and nephews, Bradley and Bret Watson.
