William Davis Obituary

WILLIAM LARRY DAVIS, 74, of Branchland, WV passed away July 14, 2025 at St. Marys Medical Center after a long Battle with ALS.
He was born January 7, 1951 to the late Mary Etta Davis. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Leanza Davis, brother, Gary Lee Davis and very special grandson, Tylar James Davis. He was a 1969 graduate of Guyan Valley High School and a retired mechanic for F&S Trailer Repair of Milton, WV.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Davis; two sons, William Lawrence and Gregory Allen Davis both of Barboursville, WV, two very special grandchildren, Leah Grace Payton (Chris) of Branchland, WV and Lincoln James Davis of Proctorville, OH; three special cousins, Judith Colegrove(Willis) of Cleveland, OH, Ronnie Triplett of Virginia, and Joyce Brunty (Buddy) of Branchland, WV; sister-in-law, Linda Davis, nephew, Gary Lee Davis II (Cece) both of East Lynn, WV.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Elder Tim Davis and Elder Henly Adkins officiating. The burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery, Branchland, WV. A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
