Estelle Benita Pollard Ellis, 87, of Hickory, passed away early on Friday morning, June 27, 2025. Born April 25, 1938 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late James D. Pollard and Martha Bailey Pollard.

Estelle loved gardening and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was previously employed as a purchasing agent in the medical field.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Grady Lee Ellis; daughter, Lori Ellis Cannon, two brothers, and three sisters.

Estelle is survived by her son, Terry Ellis of Hickory; daughter, Debra Ellis Triplett of Hickory; grandchildren, Patrick Bradberry, Jonathan Bradberry, Amy Harvell, Andy Harvell and Ashlee Ellis; great grandchildren, Jordan Bradberry, Brandon Bradberry, Kira Bradberry, Javin Cauthen, Austin Harper, Madison Hemmings and Kinley Harvell.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with Pastor Kenny Robison officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

A receiving of friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
