April 3, 1937 - December 30, 2024
Kenneth, 87, of Newton passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
He was born April 3, 1937, in Catawba County to the late Rev. James Floyd Frasure and Mary Lou Thomas Frasure. Ken was employed with Carolina Tractor of Newton before serving as pastor at New Horizon Ministries in Conover for 35 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran and loved being a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and pastor. His greatest joy was serving the Lord with joy, loving Jesus to the utmost. He was known as a pillar of honor, strength, love, and integrity to those who were blessed to know him.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his sons, Sean Frasure and Kenneth Frasure Jr.; and great-grandchild, Bentlee; and brothers; and sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and love of his life for 54 years, Marge Matyus Frasure of the home; sons, Scott Frasure and wife Bonnie of Newton, Dean Frasure of Newton; daughters, Chrissy Mayoff and husband Barry of Montreal, Kim Melancon of Thibodaux; stepdaughter, Shari Pitre of Thibodaux; sister, Clifford Miller of Catawba; grandchildren, Megan Moser and husband Michael, Darren Frasure and wife Ashley, and nine additional grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Maddie and Ethan and 16 additional great-grandchildren.
The Frasure family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Catawba Valley Medical Center for the kind and compassionate care they provided during Ken's brief illness.
Ken's wishes were that there be no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eagle Mountain Ministries affiliated with Kenneth Copeland Ministries, Fort Worth, TX, 76192 or Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
