(Marjorie) Donette V. Ockey, 85, died on July 13, 2025, of natural causes. She was born in Ogden, Utah on January 27, 1940, the second child of Donovan Herbert and Ada Strong Van Dam.

Funeral services will be held on August 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Indian Oaks Ward, 1835 South Washington Fields Road, Washington Utah. Viewing to be held August 4, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on August 5, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 South Highland Drive. I had the honor of being sister Ockey´s visiting teacher for several years. I always left there feeling like I had gained so much more than I could bring to her. She was always a good example to me and I loved her and Brother Ockey.
