Gordon was such a valuable leader and advocate for the NAMI organization both locally and at the state level. He guided us through some really tough times and successfully got the state organization operating at a productive level. He and Nan both put in lots of hard work, never accepting "No" for answer. He found funding to create yearly Crisis Intervention Training for both city and county-wide police and first responders. He made all the right connections to benefit those living with mental illness as much as he could, too numerous to mention. I'm so grateful to his family for sharing this wonderful man with the rest of us for the time that we had him.

I remember Gordon (and Nan) from his work with the Mental Health Committee of the BF Community Health Alliance. He was dedicated, steadfast and passionate to make life better for those who lived with mental illness. I'm honored to have known him. I was unaware of his achievements in his earlier but am not surprised that he was the same dedicated, passionate person then as was when I knew him. My condolences to Nan and her family.
