Bonnie Bauer Obituary

Bonnie June was born January 25, 1927 in Payson Utah, the only daughter of June Mariah Harris Reid and Thomas Clarence Reid.
She passed away on her husband's birthday, April 6, 2025 at Northern Inyo Hospital, where she had retired from. She was 98.
Bonnie grew up in Mammoth, Utah and attended Tintic High School in Eureka, Utah. Graduating class of 1945. After graduating she became an employee at the Tooele Ordnance Depot in Tooele, Utah as a Clerk-Typist.
She met Arthur Bauer and they married on January 18, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their one and only child was born, a son, Gary. The family moved to California, first to Long Beach, then Compton and then to Santa Maria. They had been married for 28 years when Art passed away.
In about 1972 a couple of loving brothers and their wives moved their ""Sis"" to Bishop to be close to the family. Bonnie got an education in being a Nurse's Aide and started her career at Northern Inyo Hospital and retired after 18 ½ years, staff said they were sad to see her go. She helped lead new nurses through the routine of Med-Surg duties and her humor was enjoyed by many co-workers.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; June and Clarence, brothers; Ted, Rex, Don and Jim, by her husband Arthur and two nieces and three nephews.
Bonnie is survived by her son Gary and his wife Sherry, granddaughter Nicole and her husband Benni, and her three great-grandsons; Byrson, Kolten and Logan. Bonnie's sister, Nancie Burraston and her husband Lee. Also by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and MANY others that loved her and lovingly called her ""Aunt Bonnie!""
Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at East Line Street Cemetery.
