Terry Goldsmith Obituary
Terry is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Carolyn (Adams) Goldsmith; two daughters, Lisa (Brian) Haynes and Terri Jo (Irv) Nichols; four grandchildren, Brett (Kenzi) Haynes, Jake (Kenzie) Nichols, Teagan (Jaden Thelan) Haynes, and Kaylee Nichols; one great grandson, Tate Nichols; one sister, Linda (Phil) Hutchins; and a special family friend, Amanda "Berger" Rainsberger.
He was preceded in passing by his father and step-mother, Lee and Ladora Goldsmith; his mother and step-father, Marion and Leon Myers; one sister, Patricia Hill; and two brothers, Don Goldsmith and Tommy Goldsmith.
Terry honorably served our country in the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Bliss, Texas serving as Military Police. He was the proud owner of Weatherproof for over 40 years. He enjoyed NASCAR and fishing with all his close friends. He had a servant's heart and truly gave of himself when it came to all things Michigan Center. Whether it was volunteering for the Michigan Center Cardinal Club, running the game clock for basketball games, or selling concessions, Terry was always willing to do what was needed. He also coached the Michigan Center Girls Varsity Softball for many years with his best friend, Rick Davis.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Kelly Heim from Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful loving care she provided to Terry.
At his request cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor the life of Terry Lee Goldsmith will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Jackson on Thursday, July 31, 2025 beginning at 12:00 Noon. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Following the service, the family is hosting an open house luncheon at Suburban Lanes from 12:30-2:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Haynes Memorial Scholarship, Michigan Center Athletics or Michigan Center Schools Library, or to a charity of your choice. Please visit www.hamptonfuneralhomes.com to sign the guestbook and/or send a condolence to the family.

Terry was such an incredible pillar of the Michigan Center community but especially when it came to athletics. He gave an enormous amount of his time and effort to the activities that he cared about. His legacy will certainly live on through Carol, Lisa, Terri Jo, his grandchildren, as well as his many friends. Gone too soon and will be dearly missed. RIP
