Anita Brown Obituary

Jonesboro- Mrs. Anita Margaret Gay Brown, 76, passed from this life on July 8, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born to the late Alvis and Ruby Prince on October 2, 1948, in Grubbs and Lone Creek Arkansas. Anita was a dear wife, mother and member of Valley View Church of Christ. She worked as a licensed pharmacy tech as well as a medical tech before retiring in 2007. She is preceded in death by her children's father, Michael Allen Gay of Newport, AR, to whom she was married from 1966 to 1997. A stepdaughter, Janie Brown of Temple, TX. She is survived by her husband, Stewart Brown; three daughters, Kimberly (David) Brown of Salem, VA, Micha (Randy) Stowers of Winchester, VA and Elena Patton of Hurricane, WV. One son, Steven Gay. Grandchildren; Katelyn (Tyler) Bodell, Cameron Brown, Allison Stowers, Emily (Jordan) Haugh, Victoria Farmer, Elijiah Gay, Cole Stowers, Dakota Harless and Jude Patton. Great-grandchildren; Lacey Bodell, Ava Bodell, Maddisyn Bodell and Venus Farmer. Services are private under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
