Eddie Smith Obituary

Eddie Jewel Smith, 77, of Pocahontas departed this life on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Eddie was born on March 24, 1948, in McCrory, Arkansas, to the late Tommy Smith and Ruby Skinner Smith. After graduating from high school, Eddie enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country for nine years. He then began working for the Southwestern Power Administration for the Department of Energy. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Ruby Smith; son, Nick Baltz; sister, Nettie Bevills and brother, Roland Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Smith; children, Audrey (Shane) Smith of Pocahontas and Ashton Smith of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Steven Baltz, Bishop Percell, Jewelia Percell, Cooper Clark, Blaine Baltz, Ethan Baltz, Paula Baltz, and Izabel Smith; and one great grandchild on the way; sister, Kitty Meridith of McCrory.
Cremation has been chosen as final disposition. There will be a Celebration of Life on June 14th at 1:00 pm at KC Hall in Pocahontas
