Larry Gwinn Obituary

Lawrence Alfred Gwinn, known as Larry to his friends and loved ones, passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 67, in Paragould, Arkansas. Born on June 6, 1958, in Litchfield, Illinois, Larry was a man of honor, dedication, and joyous spirit. His life was a testament to the values he held dear - service to his country, commitment to hard work, and the immeasurable love for his family. A proud Army veteran, Larry served his nation with the same steadfastness that he would later bring to his career as a big truck mechanic. After his military service, he dedicated many years to the craft of mechanics, gaining respect and admiration from his colleagues and the wider community for his expertise and reliability. Larry's zest for life extended well beyond his work. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and solace in the stillness of nature. His love of working outdoors was evident to all who knew him, as he could often be found tending to his garden or fixing something around the house. Family was the cornerstone of Larry's world. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was a large family gathering or a quiet evening at home. His role as a family man was one he embraced with all his heart, providing not only for their needs but filling their lives with laughter, wisdom, and an abundance of love. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Iven and Shirley Gwinn; son, Jeremy Gwinn; and several siblings. Survivors include his wife, Judy Gwinn; son, Joey Gwinn (Michelle); step-daughter, Amy Morris; brothers, Iven "Buster" Gwinn, Gary Gwinn (Audrey), and Gerry Gwinn; sister, Diane Weatherford; and 4 grandchildren.
