Ronald Rose Obituary

Ronald Edward Rose, 76, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on May 30, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of faith, Ronnie's life was marked by service-to his family, his community, and his church. Born on October 20, 1948, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, Ronnie was the son of Jesse Lowell Rose and Elewese Louise Rose. He graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1966 and went on to build a long and dedicated career. For 30 years, he worked with GTE Phone Company before retiring. Following that chapter of his life, he continued to serve others through ministry as a Pastoral Associate at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church for 16 years. For 53 years, Ronnie shared a loving marriage with Veronica Sue Rose (DeClerk). Together, they built a strong family rooted in love and faith. He is lovingly remembered by their three sons: Ronald Kelly (Bridgette) Rose of Pocahontas; Kristopher David (Valerie) Rose of Paragould; and Kevin Samuel (Kisha) Rose of Batesville. Ronnie was a proud "Poppa" to ten grandchildren: Dustin Rose, Brinley Rose, Katelyn Noel, Katherine Noel, Macie Noel, Bentley Noel, Kolin Rose, Ava Rose, Trenten Rose, and Jack Rose. Ronnie served his country with honor as a member of the Army National Guard for seven years. His commitment to service extended beyond the military and into every aspect of his life. A devout Christian and active member of St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church in Pocahontas, Ronnie shared his faith not only through worship but also through action-ministering to fellow parishioners and guiding new members through the RCIA program. He also was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus obtaining the rank of Third Degree. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Lola Rose; and his brother, Lowell Thomas Rose. Ronnie found joy in the simple pleasures of life-hunting in the woods he loved so dearly, casting a line while fishing on quiet waters, tending to his garden with care and patience, or spending time at the cabin surrounded by nature and "The Boys of Macedonia". Music filled many moments of his life and brought him peace. Above all else, he cherished time spent with family and friends. Ronald Edward Rose will be remembered for his unwavering faith, steadfast love for his family, and generous spirit. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire lives rooted in compassion and devotion. A Visitation will be held on June 12, 2025, from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church 1002 Convent St. with a Rosary Service to follow visitation hours. A Funeral Mass will be held on June 13, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Paul The Apostle Church 1002 Convent St. Those honored to serve their Poppa as Pallbearers are Dustin Rose, Brinley Rose, Katelyn Noel, Katherine Noel, Macie Noel, Bentley Noel, Kolin Rose, Ava Rose, Trenten Rose, and Jack Rose. Honorary Pallbearers are all of his nieces and nephews. To send a flower arrangement in memory of Ronald "Ronnie" Edward Rose, please click here to visit our sympathy store.
