Wavie Thomas Obituary

JONESBORO - Wavie Jean Thomas, 94, of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Craighead County Nursing Center. She was born March 24, 1930, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Carroll and Ludie Ellamae (Cox) Hall. She was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church and loved sewing and church work. She was the social butterfly of Craighead County Nursing Center, always checking on the residents and staff.

Wavie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Thomas; three sons, Ronnie Isom, Bill Isom and Rick Isom; and a daughter, Linda Jones.

Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Wavie include her daughters, Patricia Isom and Debbie (Vernon) Findley; six grandchildren, Chris (Amanda) Isom, Dr. Regina (Neil) St. John, Tracy Isom, Heather (Danny) Baldridge, Billy (Tanya) Isom and David (Ada) Jones; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Trinity Cemetery in Bono.

No visitation is scheduled.

Logan Isom, Cade Isom, Cole Baldridge, and Andrew Baldridge will serve as pallbearers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
