Marion Outerson Obituary

Marion Outerson
Marion (Schutz) Outerson, 96, of Vernon, beloved wife of the late Andrew Richard Outerson, died peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by her family. Marion was born in Buffalo, NY, on July 12, 1928, daughter of the late Edward and Marion (Van Atta) Schutz.
She was a graduate of Bennett High School and went on to attend the State Teachers College at Buffalo, NY, for two years. She met and married the love of her life ,Andrew R. Outerson, on July 16, 1949. Marion worked as a personnel Administrative Assistant at Gerber Scientific, Corporate Headquarters and retired after 30 years of service. She was a member of St. Bernard Church in Rockville. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, knitting, sudoku, politics and current events, but most of all spending time with her family.
She leaves her children, Karen Outerson and her husband Jeffrey Lee of Killingworth, David Outerson of Vernon, and Paul Outerson and his wife Stephanie of Auburn, MA; four grandchildren and their respective spouses and children, a brother, Edward Schutz and his wife Gail of Winter Haven, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside ceremony will be held in the spring. Memorial donations may be made in Marion's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105. For online condolences, please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com
