Francis Leon Kathe, 90, of Lincoln, Neb., died July 5, 2025. Born October 10, 1934, in Marysville, Kan. to Herman and Loretha Kathe.
Retired from the United States Postal Service, US Navy Veteran. Long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survived by his wife, Nora (Wagner); children, Tom (Karen), Terry (Kate), Lori (Craig) Blake, Lisa (John) Hartmann; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Survived by Dorothy (Larry) Brant, Pat (Diana) Wagner, Nancy (John) Hilt, Peggy Barrett, Marilyn Buhman, Mary Wagner, Bob Wagner and Kathy Wagner. Preceded in death by his parents\; mother and father in law; and many brothers and sisters in law.
Viewing 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday July 10, 2025, at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln. Rosary Friday July 11, 9:30 a.m., St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Lincoln, Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Friday July 11, 2025 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1940 S. 77th Street, Lincoln, Neb. Luncheon immediately following service. Graveside service with military honors be held following luncheon, Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6800 S. 14th, Lincoln, Neb., at 1:30 p.m. Memorials to Holy Spirit Adoration (Pink) Sisters.
