Craig Plummer
Craig Plummer, 53, of Kearney died Thursday, July 25, 2024 at his home in Kearney.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the United Methodist Church in Ravenna. Pastor Chuck Squier will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2024, at the church. The family requests that those attending the visitation wear Husker attire. Craig Plummer was born February 25, 1971, in Kearney, NE to Paul and Mary (Horst) Plummer. As a young boy, Craig enjoyed spending time with his Grandpa, Melvin "Boots" Horst in Ravenna, NE. He grew up in Broken Bow, NE and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1989.
After graduation, Craig moved to Ravenna to be closer to family where he met Kim Giffin. They married in 1991 and moved to Gothenburg, NE shortly thereafter. Three children were born to this union.
Craig enjoyed golf, softball, traveling, road trips and country drives, grilling, racing mini sprints, skydiving, boating, Husker Football and spending time outdoors.
Survivors include his children: Brittany Plummer of North Platte, NE, Tyler (Danielle) Plummer of Clay Center, NE, Ethan (Shelby) Plummer of Kearney, NE; grandchildren: Madelyn Koubek, Jaxon Koubek, Alayah Guerra, Tyler Yates, Jr. and Rhett Plummer; father, Paul (Dee) Plummer of Elwood, NE; sisters: Angie (Tyler) Cronin of Ravenna, NE and Jennifer (Gary) Bergstrom of Lincoln, NE; nieces: Aiden (Zach) Moerer, Kristiana Bergstrom; nephew, Garrett Bergstrom and great-niece: Iyla Moerer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Plummer, great-niece, Paxtin Moerer and grandparents, Melvin and Vivian Horst.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
