Nathan Alan "Nate" Talbert
Nathan Alan "Nate" Talbert, 60 of Kearney passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Kearney First United Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Fowler officiating. Inurnment will be held at Minden Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the Kearney Elks Club or to the Kearney First United Methodist Church to be designated to Youth Programs and the Food Bank. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services.
Nate was born July 22, 1963 in Minden, NE to Arden and Lois (Nelson) Talbert. He was raised in Minden, NE and received his education from Minden High School, graduating with the class of 1982. Nate furthered his education by attending Southeast Community College in Milford, NE where he earned his degree in Welding Technology. Nate then worked for his dad at Talbert Land Leveling for several years. He then worked for T & L Irrigation, and most recently Nate was self-employed as an auto mechanic.
Nate enjoyed playing cards, singing, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Kearney First United Methodist Church where he was active in the Praise Band and volunteering with the food pantry. Nate was a member of the Kearney Elks Club serving as a past trustee.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lois Talbert of Kearney; brothers, Matthew Talbert and wife Penny of Minden, Paul Talbert and wife Shauna of Kearney, and Mark Talbert and wife Sarah of Lincoln; many nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Kensly (Keene) Pritchett, Dennis Dvorak, Mathea Dvorak, and Cydney Dvorak; as well as many friends and extended family.
Nate was preceded in death by his father, Arden.

Will always remember Nate especially when he read the scripture at church as it was if God sent Moses down to give the holy word we all listened to the thundering words ! Nothing will compare to that voice. We will all miss the words
