Kyle was born on April 11, 1962 to Earl Simonson and Sally Wood at the Boone County Hospital in Boone, IA. Though Kyle faced life with challenges that many of us could never fully understand, he lived each day with a purity of heart, a joyful spirit, and a love that knew no boundaries.
Kyle taught us more about unconditional love, patience, and resilience than words can ever express. His laughter was contagious, his hugs were full of warmth, and his smile was a gift that made those around him feel loved. Though he may not have spoken many words, his heart spoke volumes.
Kyle enjoyed boating, shopping at his favorite store Bass Pro Shop, swimming, riding his tandem bike, anything that was outdoors in nature. He enjoyed traveling with his family and a few favorites included Gulf Shores beach, Smokey and Rocky Mountains, Disney World, the Florida Keys where he swam with dolphins, and his most recent trip to Montana. Kyle enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Attending his nieces and nephew's activities, whom he loved dearly.
He saw the world through eyes untouched by judgment, and in doing so, showed us how to be better people. His life was a reminder that every soul has infinite worth, and that love doesn't need to be spoken to be deeply felt.
Our grief is profound, but so is our gratitude-for every moment, every smile, every quiet connection we shared. Kyle may no longer walk beside us, but he will forever live within us.
Kyle joins his parents in heaven, and is survived by many family members who are endlessly proud of him and grateful for every moment spent together.
