Anna Baker Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 13, 2025.
Anna Baker, 85, of Springboro, Ohio, passed away on September 11, 2025. She was born on January 22, 1940, in Straight Creek, Kentucky. Anna retired from Maple Knoll as a CNA, where she devoted many years to caring for others with compassion and dedication.

She found her faith and fellowship at Winton Road First Church of God in Fairfield, Ohio. Anna loved music, animals, reminiscing on the past, and had a lifelong passion for elegant cars. She also cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Zoey, who brought her comfort and joy.

She is survived by her son, Gary Baker (fiancée, Melissa Pennington); granddaughters Brandy Powell (husband, Michael Powell), Brittany Baker, Jamie Alvarado (husband, Pedro Alvarado), and Laura Baker; grandson Gary Baker Jr.; and many beloved great-grandchildren. In addition to her immediate family, she was loved and cared for by countless friends and extended family members who will remember her warmth, generosity, and spirited nature.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Baker, and her son, Jeffrey Baker.

In keeping with her wishes, Anna chose to donate her body to the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science-a selfless contribution to advancing medical knowledge, providing hands-on training for future medical professionals, and supporting the development of new treatments and research.

Anna's family will forever treasure her memory, celebrating a life filled with love, faith, and a generosity of spirit that touched everyone who knew her. The family will hold a private memorial in her honor at a later date.

Anna was a strong woman who lived a great life, and touched many people around her with her twang and personality. I will miss her sassiness the most and so glad she got to spend her golden years living her best life and having the best caregiver who truly made a difference in her last years. She is loved and will be missed greatly!
