Lois Mary McGarry Stewart, 82, of Bessemer City passed away on August 6, 2025, at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 29, 1942, to the late Clifford Allison McGarry and Margaret Marie Liebscher.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandchild, Gary Daniel Stewart, and fur baby, Bella, German Shepard.
Lois loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and gardening. She and Gary participated in the senior games every year. She loved to go bowling and she was an outstanding cook. Her spaghetti sauce was top notch and everyone loved it.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 63 years, Gary Dal Stewart; sons, Kenneth Andrew Stewart (Sandra), Gary David Stewart (Cynthia); brother, Russell McGarry; sister, Patricia Finn; grandchildren, Lukas Stewart, and Gavin Stewart; great grandchild, Clara Jean Stewart; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Pastor David Ozuna officiating.
Lois’s funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm
