Charlotte June Roberts was born to the late Gerald E. Harper and the late Velma Harper Johnson on June 12, 1936 in Iraan, TX. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in Leander, TX at the age of 89.

She was a loving wife of 71 years, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She worked as a bank clerk to put her husband through school at Texas Tech. She joined Rockwell International as a secretary and took night classes to graduate with honors from the University of Redlands in Summer 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She became the first female Safety Engineer in the history of Rockwell. She worked for them during the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Space Shuttle, and Space Station programs. She was promoted to supervisor and then later Manager of the Safety group on the Shuttle Operations Contract.

When she retired she travelled widely with her husband. She joined Rolling Hills Community Church and volunteered in many roles on the board and as a Stephen Minister Leader. She also served on her homeowner's association board in many positions.

She was predeceased by both her parents and her sister, Geraldine Farrah Hale.

She leaves behind her husband, James E. Roberts, her son James E. Roberts V and his wife Diane Roberts, her daughter, Jana L. Palmiter and her husband Ron Palmiter, grandchildren Brittani Luedtke and her husband Ross Luedtke, James E. C. Roberts VI, Jessica Powell and her husband Dustin Powell, Rhianna Palmiter, and John D. Palmiter, great-grandchildren Everett Luedtke and Parker Luedtke.

Funeral held at Krestridge Funeral Home, 505 Austin St., Levelland, TX 79336

Burial Sundown Cemetery.
