Christine Bizzarri Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 30, 2025.
Mary Christine "Tina" Bizzarri (née Picadio), age 96, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, in Mill Valley, California, after a long and fulfilling life surrounded by family, friends, and love.

Born on August 30, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tina grew up in a vibrant Italian community that shaped her deep appreciation for family and tradition. In 1949, she married William Americo Bizzarri and became part of a large and loving Italian family. She cherished her role within this extended family, holding close the bonds she shared with her numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and her children-daughters Kathy and Linda and son Paul.

Tina dedicated over thirty years of her life to Western Bowl in Cincinnati, where she led the waitress staff with grace and warmth. Her natural charisma and welcoming presence made her a beloved figure among patrons and coworkers alike. Through her work, she formed lasting friendships and left an indelible mark on those around her.

Following the passing of her husband William in 2003, Tina relocated to Mill Valley, California to be near her daughters Kathy and Linda. There, she embraced a new chapter of life with enthusiasm and generosity. She volunteered with Guide Dogs for the Blind and the American Cancer Society Thrift Shop, continuing to give back to her community while forging new friendships.

For the last decade of her life, Tina lived at The Redwoods, a community for seniors in Mill Valley. She found joy in connecting with fellow residents and becoming an active part of this welcoming environment.

Tina had a passion for playing cards and gathering with others for games filled with laughter and camaraderie. A true hostess at heart, she was known for throwing memorable Halloween parties on Glenmont Lane that brought people together year after year. Whether hosting a small get-together or a lively celebration, Tina had a gift for making everyone feel like family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Bizzarri; her daughter Kathy Bizzarri Loos; and her brother Augustine Picadio.

Tina is lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda Bizzarri; son Paul Bizzarri; grandchildren Angela Bizzarri Pflugrath, Erik Loos, Simon Loos, and Carmen Bizzarri; daughter-in-law Diane Bizzarri; sons-in-law Eric Loos and Jeffrey Abbett; as well as her grandchildren's spouses Karl Pflugrath, Ada Jaala (Peixoto) Loos, Courtney Chan and Madison Gazda.

Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her kindness, humor, and unwavering spirit. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

In lieu of a service, Tina wished for a memorial bench overlooking The Marsh at The Redwoods where her friends could gather. Remembrances may be made through donations to The Redwoods at: www.theredwoods.org/donate. Please choose Annual Fund, In Memory of Tina Bizzarri.

Linda my condolences go out to you and your entire family for the passing of your Mom. I have known her for many years but it has been 8 years since the last time I saw her when visiting my best friend Kathy. I still miss Kathy greatly. Your Mom was a beautiful lady inside and out so welcoming and loving. She always made me feel part of your family. I can still hear her laughter, a laugh that you could not help laugh with. She will be missed greatly by all who loved her and knew her. RIP Tina with your hubby and my best friend Kathy.

Linda and family, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I have loved hearing all your stories of your Mom, both the every day and the big moments (like her fashion show!). I can see through your pictures how much she was surrounded by love, joy, family, fun, and a zest for life. A life well lived and I know how much her legacy will live on through you. My deepest condolences.

Aunt Tina was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. She was always filled with laughter and love. I´ll always remember her beautiful smile which she always had. I remember when Uncle Willy would be messing or tormenting us kids and I can still hear her saying "oh Willy leave them kids alone" Her memory is my keepsake with which I´ll never part. God has her in his keeping, I have her in my heart. Love you Aunt Tina

Beautiful Tina will be missed by all who have met her. She always had such energy and enthusiasm for life. Loving, caring, and generous to friends and family. She loved to plan many many get togethers, big and small to gather a group together to laugh at life and have fun! I´m thankful for my very long friendship with her amazing daughter Linda. Through that friendship I was lucky enough to be part of the Bizzarri Family- loving her mom Tina, and sister Kathy who we all miss as well. Tina you have always been an inspiration and a soul that can light up any room you entered. Please rest in peace and you remain in our hearts always.

Tina was such an energetic, kind, and enthusiastic person. She was close to all members of the Bizzarri family, always there to listen, advise, and encourage all of us. Cousins Janice, Carol, and I were junior bridesmaids in her beautiful wedding when we were seven. With a busy household and her work at the Western Bowl, she was still generous with her spare time to help friends and neighbors. I was pleased to hear from her and Linda in March after sending her photos of a St.Joseph´s Day parade through the neighborhood here on Marco Island followed by an Italian feast. She will be missed, but leaves behind a legacy of love.

Mrs. Bizzarri was such a sweet lady and a great neighbor. A great mom from the group of great Glenmont Lane moms.
So many wonderful memories of the Bizzarri house right down the street. The Aunt Jane´s pickle mobile, barrels of candy in the garage, election day polling station, Mr. Bizzarri´s water ballet sets at Woodhaven and Mrs. Bizzarri´s kind smile. Sending good thoughts and heartfelt condolences to the Bizzarri family from the Goldrainers, your neighbors in the circle.
Rest in Peace Mrs. Bizzarri.
