Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 30, 2025.
Connie Ragene Bowers, 77 years old of Edwardsburg, Michigan passed away peacefully to her rest July 26, 2025 from an apparent heart attack at her home. She was born on April 6, 1948 in Niles, Michigan the daughter of Louis Westfall and Isabelle (Ileen) Shetterly. She lived her entire life in the southwest area of Michigan.

Connie met the love of her life, Marlin D Bowers working at Bowers A&W Root Beer Drive-In in Edwardsburg Michigan. They were married in Edwardsburg on December 18, 1965. Marlin and Connie went on to be owners of the A&W Root Beer Drive-In in White Pigeon, Michigan. After selling the drive-in, Connie worked for Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury. She became the kitchen manager and eventually retired from Essenhaus. Marlin and Connie celebrated their 59th anniversary last December.

Connie was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bristol, Indiana. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school to the little ones including her granddaughters. Connie loved to cook and bake and shared her goodies with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling with her family. If she wasn't traveling with family, she was traveling to visit family. If you met Connie, you most likely called her "friend" and remember her beautiful smile and easy laugh. Of all the things Connie enjoyed in life, spending time with those she loved was her favorite thing.
