Eve Martinez Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 15, 2025.
Eve-Ann Martinez, a Santa Monica native and resident of Riverside, passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2025, at the age of 75.

Eve, as she was known to her friends and family, was a world traveler. She was born in Santa Monica on February 6, 1950, and attended St. Sebastian Elementary School, St. Monica High School and Santa Monica High School, graduating in 1968. She then attended Santa Monica City College.

Eve was admired for her beauty, occasionally having modeling jobs, but she thrived working as a Playboy Bunny for the Playboy Club in Century City. She attended many events at the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills, where she met numerous celebrities. In her later years, she became a licensed esthetician.

Eve traveled to Europe and the Middle East with her mother. She was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley and visited Graceland in 2024 with her cousins, calling it one of the highlights of her life. At 16, she attended the famous 1966 Beatles concert at Dodger Stadium.

Eve and her husband, Gary Spieske, recently celebrated their 24th Wedding Anniversary and just returned from a wonderful trip to Hawaii. They had resided in Riverside, CA for the past five years, moving there from LA.

Eve's greatest passions were her family and her dogs. She was a devoted animal lover and was heartbroken when she recently lost her beloved Dachshund, Mr. Big.

Eve is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary Martinez; her daughter, Tammy; and her brother, Stephen, who died in November. In addition to her husband Gary, she is survived by her brother, Michael; her sister-in-law, Nancy; her nephew, Matthew; and her grandniece, Eliana and grandnephew, James; and numerous cousins whom she adored.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mortuary, 5835 W Slauson Ave., Culver City, CA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: LA Animal Services, Attn: Ani. Donation, 221 N. Figueroa St, Suite 600, Mail Stop #105, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
