Frank Clum Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 17, 2025.
Frank Clum, 80, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona surrounded by his family. Born on August 22, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, Frank lived a life marked by resilience, humor, and a deep love for his family and the world around him.

Growing up in a cold water flat in Brooklyn, Frank developed the tenacity and resourcefulness that would define his character throughout his life. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1967, a period that instilled in him a strong sense of duty and discipline.

In the 1980s, Frank relocated to the Bay Area but never lost his deep connection to New York. Later in life, he made his home in Rogers, Arkansas before settling in Arizona to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. Known affectionately as "Pop" by his grandchildren, Frank was deeply cherished by those who knew him.

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ann and their son Philip. Despite these profound losses, he remained a pillar of strength for his family. His unwavering spirit and quick wit earned him the nickname "MacGyver," as he could fix nearly anything and was always the first call when something needed repair or thoughtful advice.

A man of many passions, Frank poured his heart into maintaining and improving his home with meticulous care. He found immense joy in gardening-especially flowers-and took great pride in cultivating a vibrant front yard. Just last season, he planted 150 tulip bulbs with characteristic enthusiasm.

Frank had an insatiable curiosity and loved engaging in spirited debates. He was also known for his unique culinary preferences-happily making meals out of potato chips and ice cream whenever possible. His love for nature led him on travels to numerous National Parks across the country, where he found peace and inspiration.

Spiritually grounded within the Protestant faith, Frank found comfort through his friend and Chaplain Esteban during his final days. He looked forward with hope to being reunited with the Lord and with Ann and Philip in Heaven.

Frank Clum's legacy is one of strength, humor, devotion, and love-a man who built not only homes but lasting memories for those fortunate enough to know him. May his memory bring comfort to all who held him dear. A Funeral will be held on July 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 West Thunderbird Road. Memorial Service is being Live Streamed. You can watch the service at:
