Hoop was a good friend having met in Savanna IL a long time ago. Both him and Tommy stayed at our house in savanna later in life and went for a boat ride on the Mississippi River. I knew Jim, "Hoop", in St. John's Grade School in Savanna, IL so many years ago when he and his brother Tommy lived here for a few years. We reconnected as seniors in our 60s. I enjoyed our talks immensely and am so glad he revisited his childhood connections! Jim was a unique, sweet, gentle individual who will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him.
