Dorothy Alexandra Sheffield-White Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 15, 2025.
Dorothy Louisa Alexandra Sheffield-White, 98, of Savannah, Georgia, was called into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on September 8, 2025.
She was born in Hastings, Sussex, England, on March 16, 1927, and immigrated alone to the United States via Canada in 1948. She worked at City Hall for the City of Savannah until her retirement in 1982. Dorothy lived an extraordinary life, surviving World War II in England and serving in the Red Cross during the war.
She was a devoted Catholic follower of Christ, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Scott Sheffield (wife Chrissy, son Charlie), Christopher Sheffield (wife Daina, daughter Heather), Christian Sheffield (wife Sharon, children James, Audra, and Mary), Kerstan Sheffield (children Nicholas and Patrick), and Carol Howard (Sheffield), (husband George, children Brittany and Scott).
She will be missed tremendously until we are once again reunited in the presence of our Lord.
"I love you, Little Mummy."

I wish peace and comfort for all of you! I remember your spunky Mother, from East 56th Street and City Hall. It has been a long time. Perhaps, she will run into our Mother and Daddy....and don't forget Dennis, as she enters Heaven's Gate.
