Tanner Morris Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 26, 2025.
Tanner Paul Morris, affectionately known as "Tan-Man" passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 33. Born on Feb 2, 1992 in Douglasville, GA. Tanner brought light and laughter to those around him from the very beginning. Tanner was the beloved son of Val Thomas and Gordon Morris and a proud father to his son, Lorenzo Holland Morris. He is also survived by his sister, Megan Morris and his grandmother Judith Thomas who helped raise he and his sister. Along with extended family and friends who will miss him deeply. Tanner will be remembered for his big heart, sharp mind and infectious sense of humor. He was a loving, caring soul who made people feel seen and supported and his charisma and quick wit lit lit up every room he entered. Though strong willed and at times stubborn he was also deeply intelligent and a remarkably fast learner. He found peace in simple joys spending time fishing and watching movies and being with the people he loved the most. Those who knew him best will carry his memory with them always the sound of his laugh, warmth of his presence, the way he never hesitated to show his love. He will be missed beyond measure! In lieu of flowers please donate to Ugift529 enter code 26z-283 A celebration of life will be Sept 27, 2025.

The love of friends and family will carry you through your grief. Val i remember Tanner as a little fellow watch him grow into a teenager and young man. One of my favorite memories was when he and his buddies got the idea to use the pool house for a diving board- little scary but he could do it. May he rest in peace.

Val, I am so sorry to hear this news. Tanner was a good friend to Ross during their younger years, and I have so many memories of watching him play baseball at Hunter Park and swimming in your pool during the summers.
Love and prayer.
