Wendy Jo (Benton) Rayburn passed away at her home July 23, 2025. She is preceded in death by her mother, Alice Marie (VanAtta) Beaman.

"Monkey" as she was known by all of her siblings, friends, nieces, and nephews, loved Neil Diamond, rock music, all things purple, Harley Davidsons, and Road trips. She enjoyed being outdoors, coloring and crocheting, and most of all, all of the kids she loved as her very own. She is survived by her fathers, Lewis C Benton, JR (Marilyn) of Tennessee, and William E Beaman (Alice) of Kenton, OH. Also her sisters, Amy Lawson of Lakeview Oh, Sherry Cantrell (Jared Dowdy) of Bellefontaine, OH, Marcy Martindale of Ada, OH, and Emily Beaman (Billy Spears), of Kenton Ohio. Also surviving are the kids she loved and pampered as long as she was able. Nieces and nephews Tyler McKenzie of Lima OH, Taylor (Rion) Holloway of Kenton OH, Shannon (DJ) Foy of Bellefontaine, OH, Colleen (Steven) Jenkins of Lima, OH, Adell (Troy) Spears of Kenton, OH, Gabe Spears of Kenton, OH, Christian Martindale of Forest, OH, Chloe Martindale of Ada, OH, and Royce Martindale of Ada, OH. Also her three grandchildren, Alystann, Clover and Stone. She will be missed so much.

A Celebration of life will be held Sat, Aug 9th at the VFW at 2147 Oh 235, Ada Ohio, beginning at 5:00 pm. Food and drink will be provided, please join us in celebrating the wonderful gift Monkey was to all of us.

I´ve known Wendy for most of my life. From twirling batons, giggling at practices or just seeing one another in school I can honestly say she was always smiling!
I am so very sorry for the loss and pain that her loved ones are facing! I pray that God will give you peace and comfort.

My name is Cliff Rayburn. Wendy was my wife whom I loved dearly and cherished every minute that God gave us. No one lived like her, unconditionally, her grand children thought of her as week sometimes but I'm here to tell you I have never met a stronger person ever. From the first time we spoke till the last, we both knew where we stood with God and each other. I miss her terribly

As a cousin, Wendy will be missed by the Moon families here in South Carolina. Although after we all grew up and our summer vacations in Ohio came to an end. We all now have families and we "try" to stay in touch as much as possible ( sad to say , but we are failing), Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the family. Love you guys and y´all are in our prayers, And where so blessed to have Wendy...
