Louis Taulbee Obituary
Louis "Lou" Edward Taulbee Jr. of Rockbridge, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on May 26 after battling ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
Lou was born May 18, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio to Louis Edward Taulbee, Sr. and Ramona Taulbee. He retired from Miller Brothers Construction in Plain City, where he earned the respect of his coworkers and took pride in his job. He was a proud supporter of the NRA; loved hunting; the Cleveland Browns; and being Papaw; and was a member of the Voice of Faith Temple.
He is survived by his beloved family who were by his side during his final moments and whose lives he touched in countless ways: His wife of almost 33 years, Jill Taulbee; and children Megan (Caleb) Branson, Whitney (Joshua) Foltz, Colton (Meka) Taulbee, Cayden (Sydney) Taulbee and Rachel Mason; his five grandchildren Kooper Branson, Foster Branson, Felicity Kilbarger, Isabell Taulbee, Lorelai Taulbee; mother Ramona Taulbee; siblings Marsha Myers, Paula (Dan) Brandon, Brad Taulbee, and Jo Ellen Saunders; several nieces and nephews; his friend that was like a son, Brandon Bledsoe; cousin that was like a brother Tom Taulbee; and best friend that was like a brother, Jack Klump.
Lou was preceded in death by his father Louis Taulbee, Sr. and brother-in-law Mike Myers.
Those who knew Lou will remember his quiet strength, warm smile, and deep love for his friends and family.
Funeral Services will by held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Melissa Collinsworth officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio.
Calling hours will be observed 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In honoring his memory, the family asks that donations be made in Lou's name to Team Gleason Foundation, 1450 Paydras St., Suite 2550, New Orleans, LA 70112.
