Robert Arthur Obituary
November 8, 1946 - February 10, 2026
CROSS PLAINS – Robert C. Arthur, age 79, passed away February 10, 2026, after a long illness. Bob was self-employed as a successful remodeling contractor and restored Frank Lloyd Wright homes in Oak Park and Hyde Park, Ill., as well as remodeling projects in N.C. and many residences in the Shorewood and Maple Bluff communities. Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary; sister, Carolyn (Ed) Krasnowski; sons, Paul (Jude) of California and Luke (Susanne) of Iceland. He was a loving grandfather to Isabelle, Connor and Evelina. A Memorial prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705, followed by a luncheon and celebration of Bob's life from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bobby´s Dad & Mom built 6 eight units on Trailsway. Joan & I were the resident managers. One evening when Bobby & I finished late I invited him to sleep on our sofa which he did. He built a lawn mower shed on the side of the building we lived in! That was probably the beginning of his building about 1973. I loved bumping into he & & his wife a couple times & had great hugs. Joan & I loved the Bob & Irma Arthur family! We will see each other on the other side! Godspeed
