Linda Anderson Obituary

Linda Rae Anderson

Linda Rae Anderson was born on August 29, 1952, in Blackfoot, Idaho, the daughter of Ray Alton Pendlebury and Nila Jean Windley. Linda had two sisters, Lois and Nancy. Linda graduated from Blackfoot High School and Seminary. She graduated from Ricks College in Rexburg Idaho. She later graduated from Brigham Young University with an English degree and a minor in Psychology. Although Linda had a degree to teach Secondary Education, she chose to work in the Cashiers office at BYU. After two years she was named Head Cashier. Eleven years later she married Alan Call Anderson from Burley Idaho. Linda went to work for the Department of Health and Human Services. She worked there for 23 years until she was first diagnosed with cancer. After a few years battling cancer Linda went to work in her husband's CPA practice until the cancer returned and she was no longer able to work. Linda served faithfully in many capacities in her church. She faithfully devoted herself to taking care of her parents, two sisters, husband and two children, Cory and Kelli. Linda's parents and sisters preceded her in death. Linda is survived by her husband of 37 years, Cory (Kia) Anderson, their children Dakota, Ruger, Gunner, Kiari and Kelli Anderson and her son Kayson Alan Harper. Linda will be remembered by many who she mentored, served and loved.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Star 2nd ward building, 96 South 200 West in Burley. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Millville City Cemetery, Millville, Utah. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, from 5:00 - 7:00 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert and from 10:00 until 10:45 Friday morning at the church prior to the funeral. A webcast of the service will be available and maintained at Morrison Funeral Home website.

I was lucky to have Linda as a case worker 30 some years ago. She was kind, understanding and compassionate. I wish I had told her how much I appreciated that during a difficult time in my life.
