JoAnne Stewart Obituary

JoAnne Stewart age 71 of Cortland passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday Sept. 22 2023 at her residence. She was born on Sept. 28, 1951 in Warren, OH the daughter of the late Robert D. Stewart and Leona R. (Overhulser) Stewart. She has lived in Cortland for the last 13 years formerly of Braceville graduating from Labrae High School in the Class of 1969. JoAnne worked for Aulizio's Catering & Banquet Center in Warren as a party organizer for 10 years. She enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, watching movies, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. JoAnne is preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister: Darlene Goranitis. She is survived by: 1 daughter: Jeanne & Eric King of Cortland, 2 sisters: Linda & Norm Jensen of Great Falls, MT, Tammie Dean of Newton Falls, 3 brothers: Dennis Stewart of Braceville, Timothy Stewart of Victor, MT, Robert & Michelle Stewart of Ocean Pines, MD, 2 grandchildren: Alicia (Tyler) Tomassi, Haley Ryznar, and 1 great granddaughter: Octavia Tomassi. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be at Braceville Cemetery 780 Braceville Robinson Rd. Newton Falls, OH 44444 on Monday Oct. 2, 2023 at 11:00am. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the American Cancer Society PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 in her memory.
