Peter Alexoff Obituary
Poland - Peter Alexoff, 94, passed away on August 5, 2025 surrounded by family.
He was born on December 16, 1930 to the late Angele and Stefka (Tricoff) Alexoff. After graduation from Campbell High School he went on to serve as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp until his honorable discharge in 1953. Immediately following his discharge, he married Kathleen Maxymych on August 16, 1953. They had their only child, Randall, in 1957.
Peter spent two decades as a partner in a successful machine design business before retiring at age 55. However, retirement was just the beginning of his professional career as he then joined his son, Randy, at Vari-Wall Tube Specialists, Inc., where he proudly served as Executive Vice President.
A brilliant innovator with a meticulous eye, he held several patents for machine design and was instrumental in establishing Vari-Wall as a leader in manufacturing metal parts used for many industries worldwide. He took great pride in attacking problems others felt unsolvable and had a relentless pursuit of perfection. He had an unshakable determination and eagerness to mentor young engineers. His dedication never wavered; he worked up until the very end.
Outside of work, Peter was committed to giving back to the community. He became a 33 Degree Mason, was a 50-year member at Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church, and contributed to many local charities, including the Poland Library to honor his late wife.
Peter had an innate ability to bring life to any room he entered. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren, drinking wine, and sharing his witty humor with those that meant the most to him at Panera, Chick-fil-A, or his condo in Naples, Florida.
His faith, love for his family, and commitment to others served as an inspiration to all those he touched. Peter never wavered in his support and care for his beloved wife of 45 years throughout her long illness and made sure to let anyone who would listen know: "I married the most beautiful girl I laid my eyes on."
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Randall L. (Beth) Alexoff of Poland; two granddaughters, Ashley (Chris) Cochren and Katelynn (Chris) Vorwald; great-grandchildren, Connor & Wyatt Cochren and Madison & Lilyann Vorwald and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathleen, who passed away May 29, 1999; his sisters, Vera Evanoff, Eleanor Alexoff, and Blanche Nokoff; his brother, Carl Alexoff; longtime companion, Olga.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Juleana and Jewel-Z Private Care for their compassionate, around-the-clock care of Peter.
Friends will be received on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church, followed immediately by a Funeral Liturgy beginning at 11:00 a.m. He will then be laid to rest with his wife at Poland Riverside Cemetery, where military honors will be rendered for his service to our country.
