Morning Jo,
I miss you. I saw a beautiful butterfly and a rainbow the other day and knew that you and my mom were together once again discussing all your wonderful kids, as you two did at our wedding.

Mom,
What can I say, you gave me the tools to become myself. To be me, who I am today, but also to recognize when I have not been true to myself,to make the changes to it so that I can be true to myself. You also taught me to appreciate the beauty I could find in life, the sun as it rises or sets, the first coo of a child,or even if it was just a purple flower blooming at my feet in a desert war zone. You taught me to read, to experience the written word from every corner of the world. To see, feel and be anytime, any place or anyone. And from all this, to take the time to converse with others, to share and to be. You gave me love and encouragement so I could share that love and encouragement. You taught me to cook, share and care for others. I will miss you my Mother, and my Friend. I love you, your Black Bird, Doug

JoAnne, Oh, what memories we have of all the times we got together to celebrate something or another with the kids and grandkids. They were always GOOD times, weren't they? Even the tears.
You have a wonderful family and I feel so priviledged to have been able to enjoy so many good times with you.
You will be missed a whole bunch, for sure! You are deeply loved by all of your dear family.
Love, Lanny

Mrs. Carson

The things I remember most about you were the times you would pack all us kids in your car to run errands. And being kids who would prefer staying home and playing you would promise a trip to the beach and a picnic if we were good. With a promise like that we all seem to behave cause we loved your picnics and the beach. I know my friend Debbie is going to miss your physical presence and smiling face everyday, however, your memories and sound advice will be implanted in her heart forever.

God Bless

JoAnne,
I am so glad that we got the chance to meet you. I will always remember how much fun you had at Doug & Robyn's wedding-I think I might have made your drinks a bit too strong. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family, even though you are at peace and no longer in any pain, you will be deeply missed. Please give my son (Brian) & my mom a hug from us.

JoAnne,
I am sorry I did not get to meet you, but Monica has told me many nice memories that she has of you, so I have come to know you vicareously through her. There is a verse that comes to mind from the apostle Paul as his death drew near, which applies to all of us, and it goes like this. "For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. God Bless you and keep you in His arms.
Most Respectfully,
Big Truck Guy
