JOHN BRUMMETT Obituary

JOHN BRUMMETT John Robert (Bob) Brummett, 93, of Marshall, MO, died Monday, May 12, 2025, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the New Salem Baptist Church with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. The Rev. John Frazier will officiate. Burial with military rites will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to New Salem Baptist Church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com Bob was born on February 8, 1932, in Columbia, MO, to the late William Earl and Mary F. Reed Brummett. On August 14, 1960, Bob married Beverly Jane Marsh who survives of the home. He spent his career as a mechanic working at various companies. Bob had a love of antique tractors especially Massey Harris tractors. He had a special love of playing music and especially playing bass guitar at the Saline County Fair for the Senior Dance for over 20 years. Bob was a US Navy Veteran and a member of the New Salem Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Beverly; he is survived by his son, John W. Brummett of Marshall; one grandson, two great-granddaughters, and one step-grandson. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one son, Michael Brummett.
