Hope Lyca Youngblood died June 7, 2025, in Los Angeles, California, in a motor vehicle accident.

Born May 16, 1976 in Mayfield, Kentucky, Hope attended Mayfield High School and Murray State University. She was an avid record collector, a talented visual artist and writer, and a gifted musician.

Hope is survived by her parents, Wayne and Phyllis Youngblood of Mayfield; her brother, Tony Youngblood of Nashville; and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by paternal grandparents Gay and Edith Smith Youngblood of Mayfield, and maternal grandparents James and Juanita Bowling of Martinsville, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made in Hope's name to the Kentucky chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Donations can be made online at namiky.org or sent to NAMI/Murray, c/o Brenda Benson, 2101 Spindletop Dr. Murray, KY 42071. A private memorial service will be held at a later date

With lots of love and many prayers to Hopes parents Mrs. Phyllis and Mr. Wayne. Hope was a good friend in the time I knew her. We both shared the love of Pumpkin. She will be missed.
