Martin Bergerson Obituary

Martin D. Bergerson

Martin D. Bergerson, 87, of Virginia passed away Monday, June 10, 2025 at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

He was born on December 17, 1937, in Virginia to Berger and Glenna (Dippold) Bergerson. Martin attended Virginia Junior College and graduated from North Dakota State University School of Pharmacy in 1959.

Martin married Edwina Pryan on August 2, 1959. He worked at North Star Drug in Virginia and purchased it in 1980; semi-retired in the mid 90's. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and flying.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen (Doug) Tusa of Minneapolis, MN; two sons, Michael (Michelle) Bergerson of Britt, MN and David (Sharon) Bergerson of Eveleth, MN; six grandchildren , Max (Jeana) Tusa and Liv (Aden Letcher) Tusa; Cheyenne (Marty) Thorne; and Jared Bergerson, Ethan and Landon Bergerson; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Ava Thorne; two brothers, Marshall Bergerson of Virginia, MN and Glen (Lind) Bergerson of Lake Vermilion, Cook, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenna and Berger Bergerson and his wife, Edwina Bergerson.

Private family services will be held with Pastor Liz Cheney officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia.

Arrangements are with the Landmark Funeral Home in Virginia.
