Scot Alan Christenson
Scot Alan Christenson, 61, passed away Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 at North Shore Estates in Duluth, MN.
Scot was born July 16, 1963 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, to Alan and Barbara Christenson. He moved to Mountain Iron, MN in 1965, and spent his elementary and high school years attending Mountain Iron. In high school he played basketball and football, and received all conference in football in 1982. He graduated from Hibbing Community College with his Associates in Diesel Mechanics in 1984. Scot loved being outside, with hunting, fishing, and trapping being his favorite pastimes.
While he was attending college, he worked for Picek Construction, and after graduating worked for Premier Aggregates as a mechanic. After, he became an entrepreneur and owned and operated his own business, Christenson Construction, from 1991-2014. Scot and his former wife, Shari, had two kids Megan and Ryan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and close friends.
Scot is survived by his children Megan and Ryan Christenson, their mother Shari Christenson, his mother Barbara Christenson, his brother Ross (Betty) Christenson, and his sisters Jill Christenson and Dara (Jon) Maunu, his uncle Elray Christenson, and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Alan Christenson, grandparents Rude and Marge Christenson, and Chris and Irene Saustad. He will be especially remembered for his construction work, and his signature wild rice soup.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 1:00 PM at the Buhl Senior Center. A light lunch and coffee an' will be served after.
