David Adcock Obituary

David Eban Adcock, age 88 of Coalfield, TN passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
After meeting the love of his life Nelda, they married just 3 months later and spent 67 wonderful years together before her passing in October of 2023.
He worked for many years as a maintenance supervisor at Y-12. He was a man of strong Christian faith and a devoted child of God. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Hazel (Hensley) Adcock; brothers, Blaine (Toop), Frank, Bill, J.B. and Hugh Don (Cocky) Adcock; sisters, Ruth (Sis) Shoemaker, Mae Fritts and Carolyn Jane Jones.
He is survived by his son, Mike and wife Teresa Adcock; grandchildren, LaTosha Adcock and James (Christina) Adcock; great-grandchildren, Kaylee (Estevan) Vargas, Brooke, Joliann, Uriah, Saban and Nelda June; brothers, Charles Adcock (Dorothy) and Marris Adcock (Wanda); sister, Janice Wormsley; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
The family received friends on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 1-2 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Home, 51 Edmonds Drive Oliver Springs, Tn 37840. The funeral service began at 2 p.m. officiated by Pastor Garvan Walls and grandson, James Adcock. Interment followed in Adcock Cemetery, Coalfield, TN
