Mrs. Clara Glenn, 84, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at Amorem Hospice in Valdese.
Clara was born on February 12, 1941, in Catawba County, to the late Horace and Mary Ethel Pruette. Clara is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert Dale Glenn; son, Timothy D. Glenn and his wife, Dana; sons, Darin R. Glenn and Danny R. Glenn; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Pruette; and brother, Carrell Pruette. Clara was preceded in death by her sisters, Lona Willis, Dosha Houser, and Alta Lail; and brothers, Grady Pruette, Calvin Pruette, and Derrell Pruette.
Clara was well known in the community for her love and service to Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church and retired as a Teacher Assistant at Rutherford College Elementary School. She was a loving and devoted wife to Dale and a loving and caring mother to her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She leaves loving memories in all the many lives she touched within her lifetime.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Abernethy Memorial UMC, in Rutherford College. Rev. April Abernathy and Rev. Kaury Edwards will be officiating.
Visitation for Miss Clara will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Aunt Clara is a morning star, a beautiful guiding light...she was always helpful and very supportive to everyone! To teach is to touch a life forever! A great Teacher to many little and grown humans.
