Raymond Zettel Obituary

Raymond A. Zettel, age 73, of Le Sueur, MN, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Shakopee, MN.

Raymond was born on August 3, 1951, in Little Falls, MN, the son of Lyle and Viola (Dugas) Zettel. In his younger days, he was a taxi driver in Minneapolis, MN, and in his later career, he worked as a truck driver. He married Lisa Smith in 1994 in Minneapolis.

Ray, as he was commonly called, was a unique and fun person with a positive outlook on life. He was a giving father and grandfather, and he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Ray also enjoyed baseball, good food, music of all kinds, and spending time at his country home with his wife and pets.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa; daughter, Desiree Mackenthun; son, Jesse Zettel; grandchildren, Luke and Jack Miller, and June and Ben Zettel; siblings, Mary (Chuck) Krueger and Marvin (Roxie) Zettel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Steven and Dennis Zettel; and first wife, Naomi.

Visitation Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 1-2 PM; followed by Funeral Service at 2 PM, all at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. East, Shakopee, MN, 952-445-2755. Interment Valley Cemetery, Shakopee.
