April 23, 1956 - November 6, 2024

Patrick (Pat) James Walchuk, of Helena, Mont., was called home to his heavenly father last month at the age of 68.

Born on April 23, 1956, in Anacortes, Wash. to Mae and Leo Walchuk, Patrick grew up in Helena before moving to western Washington where he worked in the tire industry for 30 years. He raised his three children in Lacey, Wash. with then wife Tammy before moving back to Helena.

When they were little, he loved cooking for his kids, cheering for them from the stands at baseball tournaments, and taking them on camping trips. He particularly loved camping trips to Flathead Lake – his favorite place. He loved music, especially when played on his cherished record player. He was a Washington Husky football season ticket holder for many years and enjoyed nothing more than spending Saturdays rooting for his team with his closest friends (and eventually Husky daughter). He was a very proud grandpa, and his three grandkids were the light of his life. He was a man of strong faith, finding solace and guidance in his Catholic beliefs.

Patrick is survived by his daughter, Kylie (Casey); sons, Shaun (Kelsi) and Riley (Sydni); grandchildren, Payton (whom he always called Dolly), Callen, and Parker; and his siblings, Don (Molly), Mike (Terri), Ed, and Reneé (Barry).
