Larry Lintner Obituary

Larry O. Lintner passed away on June 9, 2025.

He was born in Rensselaer on Aug. 24, 1931, to John Roosevelt Lintner and Madelene Sayler Lintner.

He graduated from Rensselaer with the class of 1951. He served in the Korean Conflict then returned to work in Daryl's Pastry Shop, where he worked with his brothers, Daryl, Ron, and Mike making memories and the best donuts in town. In 1970, he and his wife Ruth and four sons moved to Dallas, Texas, where he worked as a Trim Contractor. He moved back to Rensselaer in the early 2000's and purchased the former Lintner homestead and completely remodeled it.

In 2007 Larry married Betty Malone and they had 17 years of happiness along with their dog, Buddy Lintner!

Surviving with his wife, Betty, are two sons, Jeffery and Patrick (Amy), both of Texas; one brother, Ronald (Betty), Rensselaer; and three sisters, Shirley Martinbianco, Burton, Mich., Sandra Schauer, Duluth, Minn., and Joan Witherington, Rensselaer; four step-children, Scott (Christa) Malone, Jason (Jen) Malone and Allison (Dave) Hickman, all of Rensselaer, Jane (Mike) Heinz, Chesterton; and his devoted Buddy Lintner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Timothy and Bradley, both of Texas; three brothers, John, Daryl and Michael, all of Rensselaer; and two sisters, Beverly Wenino, Plymouth, and Lillian Anderson, Rensselaer.

Donations can be made to First Christian Church of Rensselaer or any animal shelter of your choice in memory of him and Buddy.
