Adrienne Beryl Smith Burruss Obituary

Adrienne Beryl Smith Burruss, born January 19, 1929, to Margaret and Rollin Smith, left this world to rejoin her beloved husband of 62+ years, John Warren a week shy of her 94th birthday. Adrienne died January 12, 2023, and was preceded in death by her husband in 2010, and also by her daughter, Lucy Burruss Korkmas, in 2021.
Adrienne was an artist whose work was displayed in several businesses and homes while raising five children. Additionally, she was in the Junior League and a docent at the Amarillo Art Center, and a friend to all. In addition to raising five children while being outgoing and a friend to all.
She is survived by her big sister Shirley Ann "Shan" Samis of Oklahoma City, and Shan's extended family, and by her four living children: Jane R. Burruss, Anne B. Schreck & spouse Blake, John Wm. Burruss and spouse Patricia, and Mary M. Burruss of Amarillo. Also surviving her are grandchildren who include Lucy's son Anthony J. Korkmas III [and his sons Asher and Warren], and John's three children: J. Mason Burruss, William K. Burruss, and Margaret M. Burruss.
There will be a service at St Andrew's Episcopal Church on Saturday, January 21, 2023,
at 10:30 am.
